De tekeningen van Ricarda Hoops (LEIPZIG, DE) verwijzen naar wandtapijten. De werken zijn beschouwingen over topografische vraagstukken, imaginaire en realistische locaties, grenzen en overgangen. Ricarda Hoop tekent, zoekt en arceert.
Het uitgangspunt voor de installatie in OFF HOOK is een schilderij van Gabriel Metsu, waarop een rijk beschilderd tapijt over de rand van een tafel hangt. In de zeventiende-eeuwse Nederlandse schilderkunst staan deze symbool voor rijkdom en wereldwijde handelsbetrekkingen.

Ricarda Hoops’ (LEIPZIG, DE) drawings refer to tapestries. The works are reflections on topographical issues, imaginary and realistic locations, boundaries, and transitions. Ricarda Hoop draws, searches, and shades.
The starting point for the installation in OFF HOOK is a painting by Gabriel Metsu, in which a richly painted tapestry hangs over the edge of a table. In 17th-century Dutch painting, these symbolize wealth and global trade relations.
